About Valerie:

Valerie has been creating mosaics since 1995, after finding and falling in love with this medium. Since then she has developed her technique using traditional methods in a contemporary way. Valerie has studied under mosaic maestros from Italy to develop her own personal style. She likes to use traditional materials such as marble and mosaic glass side by side to showcase the contrast of these materials.

Valerie’s mosaic art work has been exhibited in juried shows in Canada, United States and the United Kingdom. She was recently invited to exhibit at the Medici Palace in Florence, Italy along with other mosaic artist from all over the world at the MUWISA2018 exhibition. She has her art in private collections in Canada, Australia, England, Italy and the United States.

Valerie is one of the founding organizers of CAME (Canadian Annual Mosaic Exhibition) which began in 2017. She continues to be active in the development of this exhibition which helps promote the art of mosaics in Canada.
