Michelena is an artist and community creator. She opened Wolf Willow Studio in 2012 to hold space for her passions of nature, art, and collaboration. She specializes in the mosaic medium and has taught throughout the Calgary area for more than 16 years. A popular artist in residence in all school boards, she leaves a legacy of large scale mosaic murals in many public buildings and communities. Wolf Willow is also home for her local, sustainable, décor business, Rocky Mountain Wreaths, which she founded nine years ago to stay creatively connected to nature and work flexibly while raising her three sons! After years of community beautification in her own neighbourhood of Wildwood, she is now excited to focus her passions on the diverse and unique community of Spruce Cliff.
Driven by a deep desire for inner peace and health, Patti's path led her to Qigong, an ancient Chinese practice of slow movement, focused intention and deep breathing. Within weeks of practicing Qigong Patti felt healthier, calmer, more energized, more excited about life, and more present in her relationships. Inspired by her experience, Patti became a certified teacher of Medical Qigong in early 2016, and began teaching classes at Wolf Willow Studio. Recently, she began offering workshops to children which have been incredibly well received. Patti brings grace and ease to her teachings and has a natural ability to relate to her students. With her soothing voice, she gently guides her students to rest, relax and to return to their true nature.
